Water Aerobics

Monday, September 13th, 2010

You want to lose weight, tone up, and get healthy, but there are legitimate concerns standing in your way. You may have an illness or physical injury which puts going out for a run or walking on a treadmill out of the question.

Or, it’s possible that you have reached the state of obesity where exercise of any form on dry land is painful, if not even dangerous.

While these medical and pain management concerns may have prevented you from exercising in the past, there is a way to overcome them and workout safely: water aerobics!

Since the water absorbs the pressure that would otherwise land on your joints and muscles, you can workout pain and stress free when in the water.

So, what about exercise during pregnancy? The last trimester is typically a no-exercise period, but most doctors will approve water aerobics if you don’t have any serious medical concerns.

In fact, some pregnancy complications can be eased with gentle water aerobics. This type of low impact exercise can also make you more comfortable and help control weight gain at the end of the pregnancy.

Every type of workout that can be obtained on dry land can now be obtained in a body of water. Water aerobics movement can be very simple such as walking with the natural resistance of the water or it can be more complex such as using foam weights to strengthen and tone the muscles.

You can put in a great cardiovascular session that burns calories and increases your heart rate or strengthen your muscles with foam weights, bands, and the natural resistance of your body and the water. It is not as intense as working out on dry land, but it is very effective.

Bulking With Bodybuilding Foods

Monday, September 13th, 2010

So you’re a skinny a guy trying to build some muscle but just can’t seem to put on any weight? Well the answer to your prayers my friend is bulking up with bodybuilding foods.

So what is bulking? Bulking refers to the bodybuilding term of eating a surplus of calories and nutrients to add muscle mass. The key is to train with heavy weights and eat as much as possible every 2-3 hours. With a perfect diet you can only expect to build about 1lb of muscle naturally each week. Don’t stress if your not gaining right away, building quality muscle is a process that takes time and effort regardless of your genetics.

Clean vs. Dirty Bulking- Clean Bulking means eating quality bodybuilding foods such as meat, fish, eggs, cheese, veggies ect. You are consuming foods with a high protein/carbohydrate content that will build up your muscle tissue. Dirty Bulking is eating things like Burger King and pizza to gain an excess of calories. Anyone can gain weight by eating themselves away into oblivion with these foods but then you would just be fat. Stick to clean, healthy foods and avoid the sugary processed garbage at all costs.

Caloric Intake-Your body needs a surplus of calories to gain weight especially muscle mass. Give your body the fuel it needs and increase your daily caloric intake by 300-500 until you start to see results.

High Fiber Diets

Monday, September 13th, 2010

High fiber diets are commonly low in fat, too, and the cholesterol-lowering effects may perhaps be related to less fat within the diet too as to fiber. Great fiber diets are also advantageous when trying to reduce a cat’s weight. Higher fiber diets are not necessarily new, great fiber feeds have been around for a long time. Higher fiber diets are enormously helpful to health, but the fiber that offers the benefit is from vegetables for the most part, not grain.

These include cellulose, hemicellulose, pectin, and some other kinds of fiber. That may possibly sound like Greek to you, but fibers is an crucial part of our every day diet plan, and a high dietary fiber diet may well be perfect for your body.

Depending on their solubility in water, you’ll find of two primary forms of soluble fiber: soluble dietary fiber and insoluble fibers. Both of these sorts are significant for optimum well being. Dietary fiber has a amount of wellness benefits and hence is extremely suggested in every day food. Some of its health benefits are:

* It promotes the feelings of fullness and reduces energy consumption.
* It prevents constipation, hemorrhoids, and other intestinal difficulties.
* Soluble fiber helps prevent bacterial infection with the appendix.

Tips for Implementing Better Eating Habits

Monday, September 13th, 2010

If you are an admitted junk food junkie, trying to go from eating fast food to leafy greens is not going to sit well with your digestion. The truth is, when you eat junk foods, your system gets used to trying to process this food. If you suddenly change to nothing but healthy foods, you will experience digestive upsets. This is why it is important to ease over to a healthier diet. Healthy and balanced eating starts with learning how to “eat smart”-it’s not simply what you actually eat, but how you eat. Your food options can lessen the chance of health problems such as heart disease, most cancers, and all forms of diabetes, as well as guard against depression.

Eating healthier does not need to cost you a whole lot of money. It can definitely be an important component of preserving your cholesterol levels within a healthful range and can lead to slow and steady weight reduction, which is the only approach where weight loss can be long-lasting.

Here are things that can help you implement better eating habits:

1. Begin changing out your sugary cereals to ones that has less sugar and whole grains, such as oats. You will need to begin checking labels and ingredients to see what is listed, but typically you can change this out without much digestion issues.

2. Look at all the cookies and crackers that you currently have and check the ingredients for sugar and especially for partially hydrogenated oils, this is a bad fat and not something the body can digest. It is responsible for weight gain and high cholesterol. Even if the package says it is low-fat, if it has partially hydrogenated oils in it, throw it away. You can find some cookies and crackers that are not made with this oil but you will need to hunt.
