Circuit training is one form of total body workout that is gaining popularity nowadays. Not only does it focus on a single part of the body or merely weight loss, it also focuses on strengthening the core, improving a person’s stamina, increasing metabolic levels, and so much more. This is the very reason why a lot of people would rather do 360 degrees of circuit training instead of merely confining themselves on routine cardio exercises and ineffective weight training schemes. The idea behind circuit training is pretty simple. In most cases, it requires personal training by a trainer who will facilitate the right kinds of circuit exercises that guarantee the targeting of all the major parts in a person’s body. Both men and women can do this kind of training but the levels and intensity should differ. Likely, men’s fitness training should be a little bit more intense and focused on weight training while women’s training can be a little bit more designed to encourage cardio stints. What circuit training does is it focuses on targeting the largest muscles found in the body first and then on to the smaller ones. In between every set of training, cardio exercises are designed to ensure that a person’s heart rate is kept up speed. This way, more calories are burned and more weight is lost in the long run. Compared to just doing the usual and at times boring cardio exercises and strength training routines that do not give out visible results to the body and the scale, circuit training is able to do that and so much more. In just a span of continuous adherence to this kind of exercise and doing it as consistently as possible, you will immediately be able to see results not only on the scale and your clothes, but also on the shape of your body. You will notice that you are leaner, stronger, and firmer than you have ever been in your life.

Some kind of weight training should be done two to three times a week. Push ups and squats are some of the best forms of exercises. Even though lifting is a challenging form of exercise, the benefits to health and well being are extreme. This form of exercise is just as suitable for women as it is for men. Many women worry about building large muscles. This is not a real concern, because woman have low Testosterone levels, a necessary hormone to build large muscles. With stronger muscles, the probability of muscle injury reduces. Weight Training Benefits of less injuries makes it essential to get involved in. As one gains strength, joints and muscles work in increased co-ordination to improve flexibility and stamina. For every pound of muscle you gain, your body burns around fifty extra calories every day. Not one of the biggest weight benefits, but every bit helps.

Good news for green tea drinkers. A Japanese study involving thousands of subjects has found that regular drinkers gain health benefits from green tea, appearing to show less age related disability than those who don’t enjoy the beverage. The work examined the question , do people who drink this variety of tea have a reduced risk of becoming frail and disabled as the years pass. Researchers studied nearly fourteen Japanese adults, all sixty five or older, and followed them for a period of three years. Information on tea consumption as well as other lifestyle factors was collected using a questionnaire. Researchers found that those who drunk the highest amount of tea had the smallest risk of being identified with functional disability, problems with completing daily activities or normal functions like bathing or getting dressed. Green tea drinkers also had healthier diets, plus higher levels of education, lower rates of smoking, fewer strokes and heart attacks as well as better mental sharpness. They were also more likely to be socially active and thus had more family and friends as support systems in their lives. Even after all other risk factors for disability were taken into account, green tea was still linked with a reduced risk of age related disability. Subjects who had at least five cups per day were a thirty percent less likely to have disabilities compared to those who took in less than one cup a day. Those who drank three to four cups of this variety of tea each day had a twenty five lower risk of age related disability.

Many of today’s popular workout programs have aerobic exercises as their main element, particularly those designed for beginners. But are these routines ignoring a critical component, namely anaerobic exercise? To answer this, you must understand the difference between aerobic and anaerobic exercise as well as the benefits to be gained from each. At its simplest, it’s a matter of a high intensity workout as compared to a low intensity workout. Most people are familiar with aerobic varieties, which are the low intensity cardio programs designed to burn fat; anaerboic is less well-known. Anaerobic exercise also includes a high intensity portion, such as strength training . Aerobic simply translates as with oxygen, aerobic exercise means that oxygen is required to keep the muscles moving for an extended period of time. The oxygen is the fuel source for burning fat. A typical aerobic exercise is a low to moderately intense activity that lasts for an extended time, such as cycling, jogging, swimming or skiing. Anaerobic, on the other hand, means without oxygen; of course, your body will still need oxygen during anaerobic exercise but your muscles do not receive enough to keep up the extremely intense pace. Without the oxygen, your muscles are forced to burn glycogen, a component of carbohydrates. An anaerobic exercise is one that is short in duration but very intense and includes such popular activities as weight lifting and sprinting. There are several ways you may benefit from aerobic exercise. A daily 30 minute routine of aerobic activity can greatly increase your heart and lung functions as well as your blood flow, all of which could contribute to a longer life. Some of the additional benefits include:
weight Reduction, better endurance, enhanced immune system activity, lower risk from such diseases as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, stroke and other heart problems and even certain types of cancer, a more efficient cardiovascular and circulation system and Raise your good cholesterol while reducing your bad cholesterol. There are many benefits to be gained from anaerobic exercise as well. You’ll enjoy much stronger muscles and a reduced amount of body fat. Strength training has many of the same health benefits as aerobic exercises, but will also help you increase your muscle mass and bone density while you reduce the amount of body fat. Another popular anaerobic program is called an HIIT routine, which is a series of short bursts of highly intense activity followed by short periods for recovery. Such quick bursts of high activity followed by recovery periods have been shown to increase the metabolism as well as burning more calories than the low intensity variety. HIIT also has the added benefit of releasing HGH, which is a trigger for muscle building as well as fat loss.

Of the many different types of exercises and physical training we can do, and they all have their benefits, perhaps the most beneficial for most people is cardiovascular exercise. Cardio training refers to activities involving the large muscle groups of the body, such as the legs, in an uninterrupted manner. The aerobic refers to needing oxygen, and due to these aerobic exercises the heart rate must increase to deliver oxygen to these muscles. Stated another way, one of aerobic exercises’ primary jobs is to condition the heart muscle. What are some of the common ways to do this. Usual activities are jogging and running, cycling, swimming, rowing, and fast walking. The activity must tax the heart for a period of time, and therefore a leisurely stroll would not be aerobic training. When we refer to cardio exercise, we are basically using the term interchangeably with aerobic exercise. They are just two different ways of referring to the same kind of exercise. Weight control, much more goes into the equation then simply calories consumed minus calories burned equals weight gain or loss. Not only the amount of what you eat, but the type of calories you consume will be a vital part of weight control. All calories are not created equal. That said, the equation has quite a lot to do with maintaining your weight, and aerobic activity will definitely increase your calorie benchmark. If you can keep the other factors in control, you will almost certainly lose weight. Because it strengthens the heart and lungs, it has obvious health benefits to preventing heart disease. But recent studies have shown it to improve insulin resistance leading to weight gain and can slow the aging process. Some other ways it can help our bodies are pain relief, lowering fatty liver, improve sleep, and the reduced risk of colon cancer, along with others. Perhaps the best thing we can do as our bodies age is get heavily into cardio, as it is one of the primary ingredients to remaining young. But please, if you are just starting out and are not in good shape, check with your doctor before beginning. You may not feel energetic after a strenuous cardio workout, but you will get a long-term boost. One important reason is you are training your body to use oxygen more efficiently. Any aerobics, even low intensity cardio, will help the heart and lungs to become more efficient at absorbing oxygen from the blood. The boost in energy will give you a better outlook on life, and it isn’t just happy talk. It’s about endorphins being released by your brain during cardio exercise which lifts you mood.

Weight training isn’t all about the bulk. If you’re deciding whether or not weight training is worth the effort, check out the health benefits it can offer before making a decision.Incorporating strength training into your workout routine can help boost weight loss. The higher muscle count a person has the more calories they burn naturally. you not only burn fat while building the muscle but while maintaining it. While cardio workouts, like running, are great for burning calories, they don’t offer as much for body tone as resistance training. Lifting weights builds muscle tone and gives shape to flabbier areas of the body. Scared of bulking up. The bulky weight lifters you see spend a lot of time building the large muscle tissue they have. If you want to focus more on leaner muscle mass, try doing more repetitions at a lower weight. For those involved in athletics, cross training with weights can improve performance. Think of your body as a car-in theory, you can’t just put bigger tires on and expect better performance. The car as a whole needs to be built stronger if the vehicle is expected to run at a more competent level. Applying this concept to people, increasing the overall body strength will improve athletic performance by enabling to the body to perform more efficiently. Weight training can reverse the metabolic degeneration that occurs as people age. Lean muscle mass also deteriorates as the body ages, and weight training will strengthen those muscles and prevent them from being replaced with body fat. Weight training also helps lower cholesterol, lower heart rate, and prevent diabetes; health risks that increase as the body gets older.

The No. 1 benefit of following an aerobic exercise plan is the change in your cardiovascular fitness that results from this kind of training regimen. Cardiovascular Training is aimed at improving your heart muscle and cardiovascular system. Your heart is a muscle. Like any muscle, it becomes stronger with exercise and can pump blood more efficiently. Regular aerobic exercise causes your lungs to process more oxygen with less effort; your heart to pump more blood with fewer beats; and the blood supply directed to your muscles to increase. As a result, by performing cardiovascular exercises, you are increasing your body’s endurance and efficiency. At the same time, exercise also improves the performance of the muscles in the rest of your body.
